our story
BrightSTEM was founded by Meerim Musabaeva, a mom of two and experienced IT engineer and founder, who couldn’t find high-quality STEM classes that truly engaged her oldest child in 2nd grade. So, she decided to build what she wished existed and even trained in foundational teaching methods to better support young learners.
Meerim holds a Master’s in Information Technology with a minor in Cybersecurity from Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering. Not only is she building BrightSTEM from the ground up, she’ll be teaching the classes herself during our first phase, bringing her real-world tech experience and her passion for education directly to your child’s learning journey.
